It's that time of year again -- time to make the dreaded New Year's Resolution.

I really don't like to make resolutions because I don't ever seem to be able to stick them.  I can't count how many times I was going to give up Mountain Dew and I did only to start drinking it again in a moment of desperately needed caffeine weakness.

Or I've been known to resolve to give up eating food that's bad for you and start exercising more.  Who knew one could crave fast food and decide that sleeping in is a better way to start your day?

My failures don't mean I never make resolutions.  I just do it on my terms and I try not to make some grand goal I'll never reach.  Instead of saying I'm going to give up Mountain Dew completely, I'll work to cut back on my intake and consume more water.  Who knows?  Maybe someday I will be able to say I no longer drink pop or consume unhealthy food, at least not on a regular basis.
