I decided to buy an inexpensive bike. Mostly because I didn't want to spend a lot of money only to be mad at myself when I decided, after one spin around the block, that biking wasn't my "thing."  However, I'm happy to report that I've been riding almost every day. I've made a few observations since cruising around on my bike.

First, who seriously finds the standard bike seat to be comfortable? Notice the seat on this bike? Now THIS is a real bicycle seat. The first thing I did was take off the seat made for itty bitty people and put this real seat on the bike.

Second, even the smallest incline feels like I'm climbing a mountain. Does this get easier?

Third, riding a bike after all these years is like a new found sense of freedom! I absolutely love it. And I'm discovering things I would have otherwise missed. In the coming weeks I'll share some of those things with you.

If you've been thinking about getting on a bike again, I say do it! Maybe our paths will cross along the way.
