The #1 St. Cloud State Men's Hockey team will face the #4 UM-D Bulldogs tonight at the Xcel Energy Center for the NCHC Frozen faceoff championship.

After winning the Penrose Cup as the NCHC regular season champions, the Huskies swept Miami (Ohio) last weekend to advance to yesterday's Frozen Faceoff semifinal game where they defeated Colorado College 5-2 to advance to tonight's final.

Last night's second semifinal game saw Minnesota-Duluth shutout Denver 3-0.

In the six-year history of the NCHC Frozen Faceoff, neither the #1 seed nor the regular season champion has ever won the title. SCSU could break both of those marks tonight.

Also, the NCAA Hockey Tournament selection show is tomorrow (3/24) at 6 PM CT on ESPNU.

The puck drops at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul for the 2019 NCHC Frozen Faceoff championship between the SCSU Huskies and the UM-D Bulldogs at 7:38 PM (TV: CBS Sports Network, Radio: 96.7 The River).
