The #3 St. Cloud State Huskies men's hockey team (25-8-1) fell to the UM-Duluth Bulldogs (13-14-5) 2-1 last night in St. Cloud at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center -- on the heels of Friday's 4-1 loss to UMD, who claimed the weekend sweep. SCSU wraps up it's regular season next weekend at Colorado College.

The sweep by the Bulldogs marks just the second time this season SCSU has lost both games of a weekend series -- with the first coming back in October at Quinnipiac.

The loss drops SCSU to second place in the NCHC, tied with Denver with 47 points apiece. North Dakota has clinched at least a share of the NCHC regular season championship.

The Huskies will return home for an opening round best-of-three NCHC playoff series in St. Cloud March, 11th, 12th, and 13th -- with the winner of the series advancing to the Frozen Face-off March 18th & 19th at the Target Center.
