Huskies Drop Denver 4-2, Face UMD for NCHC Title Tonight

The St. Cloud Huskies Men's hockey team (30-8-1) beat the Denver Pioneers (23-9-5) 4-2 last night in the semifinal round of the NCHC's Frozen Face-off at the Target Center. Earlier in the day UM-D beat North Dakota 4-2 -- setting up tonight's championship game between SCSU and the UM-D Bulldogs.

Joey Benik, Kalle Kossila, David Morley, and Mikey Eyssimont all scored for the Huskies. Goaltender Charlie Lindgren stopped 17 of 19 shots.

Last night's win marked just the second time in St. Cloud State's Division-1 history that the Huskies have won 30-or-more games in a season. Let's make that 31 tonight!

The puck is set to drop tonight at the Target Center at 7:38, and tickets will be available at the gate. The game can also be seen live on the CBS Sports Network (Charter 807).
