The #2 St. Cloud State Huskies completed a convincing road sweep of #20 Minnesota-Duluth with a 5-1 win Saturday night at Amsoil Arena. SCSU is now 11-1-2 on the season.

The Huskies started the game with a pair of first period goals to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room at the first intermission. Jimmy Murray scored SCSU's first goal at 9:36 from Nic Dowd and Cory Thorson, followed by Brooks Bertsch's eventual game winning goal at 15:57.

David Morley gave the Huskies a 3-0 advantage exactly halfway through the second period before UMD finally got on the board with a Charlie Sampair goal 1:31 later.

Thorson would score for the Huskies before the end of the second period for a 4-1 lead, and Ryan Papa completed the scoring in the third at 12:19.

The Huskies host Union at Herb Brooks National Hockey Center next week.
