The St. Cloud State Huskies Men's Hockey team (15-14-1) completed the weekend sweep over fifth ranked Nebraska-Omaha (17-10-3) with a 2-0 win last night at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud. It was the first time Omaha had been swept this season.

The win followed Friday night's 4-3 SCSU victory over the Mavericks. The Huskies have only two series remaining in the regular season, with a pair of games next weekend at North Dakota, and two the following weekend back in St. Cloud against Denver. The Huskies currently sit in sixth place in the NCHC. The conference tournament is set to begin March 13th.

Last night's goals came from Jimmy Murray and Nathan Widman. SCSU goalie Charlie Lindgren turned away all 21 Omaha shots. SCSU outshot the Mavericks 32-21.

Next up for the Huskies; Friday 2/27 at #1 North Dakota at 7:30 PM (TV: CBS Sports Network).

Go Huskies!
