EAT YOUR VEGGIES...OR NOT?

Vegetables...I have my favorites; Corn on the cob, peas, green beans, onions. I guess I'm doing pretty good. Especially since there are people out there who refuse to eat ANY veggies.

But that's okay...as long as you still eat your broccoli.  Broccoli promotes healthy gut bacteria, and has even been linked to lowering your risk for mental health issues.

Broccoli is considered a cruciferous veggie; meaning it's in the same family as kale, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts. Those veggies have been linked to lower cancer rates; specifically colon and lung cancer.

WHY BROCCOLI?

There is apparently a compound in broccoli called sulforaphane, that can stop a certain enzyme that helps cancer cells grow. Plus, Broccoli also has a ton of vitamin K, which helps your body absorb calcium and makes your bones stronger.

"CAN'T CHOKE IT DOWN" OPTIONS

If you're a parent; I hide veggies in my kids shakes; Honestly, they can't taste them if you mix them with  fruit, and a little bit of milk. Blend well; we don't want the texture to become a problem.
