Gophers Face Washington State Tonight in Holiday Bowl

The Minnesota Golden Gophers (8-4) face the Washington State Cougars (8-4) tonight in the 2016 Holiday Bowl at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. The Gophers from the Big Ten and the Cougars from the Pac 10 will kickoff at 6 PM CT on ESPN.

The Golden Gophers will be playing without ten players who have been suspended surrounding a sexual assault investigation. The remaining non-suspended players threatened a boycott of the Holiday Bowl claiming the suspended players had been denied due process, but reversed their stance following a meeting with school officials.

Minnesota head coach Tracy Claeys has many predicting his firing after the bowl game -- following the backing of his players surrounding the boycott, in conflict with the Minnesota President and Athletic Director.
