The 9th ranked Gopher men's basketball started slowly but finished strong to beat Northwestern 69-51 at Williams Arena Sunday night.  Minnesota led Northwestern 17-14 at halftime but outscored the Wildcats 52-37 to win easily.  Austin Hollins led the Gophers with 19 points and Rodney Williams added 9 points.  Williams surpasses 1,000 points in his career...

Trevor Mbakwe scored 4 points and added 11 rebounds for the Gophers  Minnesota is 14-1 overall and 2-0 in the Big Ten.  The Gophers will play at Illinois at 8pm, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 7:30.
