ST. CLOUD - A jump at the pump today (Wednesday).  Some gas stations in the St. Cloud metro area raised their price for a gallon of regular unleaded to $4.19.  That's up from the $3.89 a gallon they were charging yesterday.

It's also a new record high for St. Cloud, the previous record was $4.01 back in July of 2008.

AAA spokeswoman Gail Weinholzer says we are well above the national average of $3.59, and the statewide average of $3.85.  She says she's not expecting to see any relief in sight for several weeks.

The main reason is that there are two major refineries in the Chicago area that have shut down for scheduled routine maintenance, and they aren't planning to restart until after Memorial Day, which mean means we can expect to see high gas prices possibly up to the 4th of July.
