Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood took to the 2016 CMA Awards stage to sing a country mashup of epic proportions. The pair treated the audience to "Jackson" by Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, Crystal Gayle's "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue," "Louisana Woman, Mississippi Man" by Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, Lynn Anderson's "(I Never Promised You a) Rose Garden," Keith Whitley's "Don't Close Your Eyes" and "Golden Ring" by George Jones and Tammy Wynette.

Yearwood wore a beautiful black dress that sparkled in the bright lights of the stage while her man wore a black suit, complete with a black cowboy hat. The performance was ripe with emotion and obvious love as the two stood on separate ends of the stage before meeting in the middle to sing "Golden Ring." As if their love wasn't obvious enough, the whole thing ended with Brooks planting a big ol' kiss on the lips of his lovely wife.

With a combined 14 CMA Awards, Brooks and Yearwood are country music royalty in more ways than one. Yearwood has been named Female Vocalist of the Year (twice!) and took home Album of the Year in 1994; Brooks is an 11-time winner and has been named Entertainer of the Year four times. In 2016, Yearwood and Brooks continued their three-year touring streak for Brooks's World Tour, performing classic duets such as "In Another's Eyes" and "The Call" for fans all over the world.
