SPOOKY FOG DRINKS

This is way easier to make than I thought. Here's what you'll need:

  • punch bowl
  • favorite gatorade or kool-aid drink
  • gummy worms
  • dry ice
  • warm gloves

DIRECTIONS

  • Simply add your beverage of choice to the punch bowl.
  • Pour the beverage in a glass.
  • Add gummy worms to the bottom of the drink and hang a couple over the side for fun.
  • Put your gloves on and add a piece of dry ice.
  • Watch your kids eyes in amazement as they watch it turn foggy.

IMPORTANT WARNING

Don't allow your children to eat dry ice. It's much colder than regular ice, and is too cold for our bodies.

A TWIST

You could just add the dry ice to the punch bowl instead. Then when you serve to your guests, leave the dry ice in the punch bowl.

Speaking of punch bowls, how about this one!

WICKET WITCH HALLOWEEN PUNCH

Allrecipes UK/Ireleand/ YouTube

INGREDIENTS

Spooky Hand
8 leaves gelatin
600ml water
Spiced ginger syrup
125ml water
100g caster sugar
50g peeled and thinly sliced root ginger
2 cinnamon sticks
5 whole cloves
Punch
2 litres chilled dark coloured juice
2 litres chilled sparkling water
300ml chilled dark rum or vodka (optional)

FROZEN HAND

Prepare the frozen hand at least a day in advance. Wash and rinse the outside of a large disposable glove and turn glove inside out. Set aside.
Soak the gelatin leaves in cold water for 5 minutes. Remove the leaves, squeeze out excess water then place in a small saucepan over low heat. Let the gelatin melt slowly, stirring occasionally. Once liquid, remove from the heat and combine with the 600 ml water.
Place the glove in a large glass or jar and stretch the end of the glove over the edge of the glass. Pour in the liquied, and ensure that the liquid has completely filled all of the fingers, then use a rubber band to tie the top closed. Place on a plate or tray lined with grease proof paper and freeze for 1 to 2 days.

SYRUP

Combine all syrup ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat, pass through a sieve to catch the ginger pieces and spices, then let cool.

HOW TO MAKE THE PUNCH

In a large punch bowl, combine the juice, sparkling water and alcohol.  Add half of the ginger syrup and stir well. Taste, then add more syrup to your liking.
Remove the hand from the freezer and dip briefly in warm water. Cut off the top, then carefully peel away the glove. Immerse the frozen hand in the punch, and serve.

MAD SCIENTISTS DRINKS

CONTAINERS

Get a variety of different shape and sizes of containers that look like something a scientist would use. Label your containers and pour the proper amount of sugar needed in each to make the Kool-Aid.

CHOOSE A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT COLOR KOOK-AID

Use different flavors of Kool aid for each to make different colors. For example, if you want zomie punch, perhaps choose lime Kool Aid for a green color. Grape for a purple Witches Brew, etc.

ADDING THE DRY ICE

After mixing each in it's proper container, then get your dry ice. YOU MUST use gloves and tongs to add dry ice to each container. It may splash, so its' recommended that you wear good gloves to chop the ice, and glasses so that the ice doesn't get in your eyes. Never touch dry ice with your bare hands as it can burn you!
