ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The Freedom Flight POW/MIA hot air balloon organization is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year as it prepares to kick off its season.

John Pearson is on the Freedom Flight Board of Directors. He says they exist only through donations and they're holding a pair of fundraisers on April 6th to help with operating and travel costs.

Pearson says they flew in 79 events last year totalling 179 flights. He says their mission is to help bring home our loved ones still missing in action...

The fundraiser will be held on April 6th and is comprised of a gun raffle and a silent auction.

Pearson has a limited number of tickets for the raffle where they'll give out 10 guns. The tickets are $10 and if you want to buy some, call John at (320) 267-5588.

The silent auction is open for you to view the more than 100 items ahead of the event. For raffle ticket information visit the  32 auctions website by clicking here.
