FOLEY - 17-year-old Foley swimmer Kasey Milstroh didn't make an Olympic qualifying time this weekend, but still has opportunities to make the cut over the next few months.

Milstroh was competing in the Speedo Sections in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. St. Cloud YMCA head swim coach Evan Shanley says Milstroh can still qualify at a meet in late April. There are also several meets in May and June.

"We'll regroup and keep trying.  We have until June 20 to qualify," Shanley said in an email.

If Milstroh makes an Olympic cut time, she’ll have a chance to swim at the Olympic trials in Omaha June 26th through July 3rd.

Milstroh was the state champion for Foley High School in the 500 yard freestyle this season. Last year while competing with the YMCA swimming team, she was Minnesota’s Swimming state champion in the 100 meter fly and the runner up in the 50 meter freestyle.
