Memorial Day is coming up this weekend, which means the unofficial kickoff for summer. If you're hosting this year's party, here's a few things you may want to try out on the grill.

Lots of folks are looking for some awesome new things to try out on the grill.  Here's a few things I'm going to be grilling up this weekend.

Burgers

Yes, I know this is nothing new but is there anything better than a juicy, grilled hamburger? If you need to jazz things up get the makings to make this bad California style. Or maybe whip up some bacon with pepperjack cheese and barbecue sauce! Yum!!

Corn on the Cob

Again, I know this an old standby but this is one of the best ways to celebrate summer! Tasty corn on the cob doused in butter with just a pinch of salt and pepper for added flavor. I know you're drooling right now.

Little Red Potatoes

Maybe this is nothing new but it's something we made all the time last summer. You slice up little potatoes and throw them in a grill bag. Pour some olive oil in the bag, close it up and shake it around so that the olive oil spreads around. Let them sit on the grill for like 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. They're so tasty!

What's Memorial Day without some good juicy fruit? Yes, apparently this is awesome on the grill. I've never tried it but I will be this weekend. According to Knoxnews, it gets even sweeter than eating it just plain.

Pound Cake

No meal is complete without dessert and what's better than something fruity and cool? Again, this is something that I've never tried on the grill but it's piqued my curiosity for sure.  A Knoxnews article claims the cake will get a smoky flavor that goes perfectly with fruit and whip cream. Sounds good to me!
