While you were sound asleep overnight, Fall (Pumpkin Spice Season) officially snuck in the back door at 3:21 AM. Referred to by the braniacs as the Autumnal Equinox, it's one of two days during the calendar year when day & night are each about 12 hours long.

From today forward, the temperatures begin to drop and the days start to get shorter than the nights. Hey, can't I stand a raw egg on end today? Let's try that.

The first day of winter -- or the Winter Solstice (see more braniacisms) will hit on December 21st.

What? Why is Fall my favorite season? Thank you for asking.

Football. Hockey. Chili. Fires. Jeans & sweatshirts. Series premieres. First snows. Halloween. Pumpkin spice (kidding). Awesome Minnesota apples. Fairs. Soups. Hiking. Blankets, wine, and coziness. (Yes, I am very comfortable with my feminine side.) Big blankets. Fairs. Harvest time. Pumpkin spice (still kidding). Monkeys.

Monkey's were just to see if you were paying attention. Now go rake that crap into your neighbor's yard!
