According to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter, we may have heard our last chants of, 'Teddy! Teddy! Teddy!,' at Minnesota Vikings games. The report says that due to the lack of any guarantee that Bridgewater will be able to return, the Vikings are not expected to exercise the QB's 2018 option.

The deadline for the team to make the decision is next Tuesday (May 2nd). In truth, it's really not as simple as a yes or no. The team and Bridgewater have several 'in between' options to ride the healing process out a bit longer to see how it all plays out.

It's clear that the team loves Teddy. From the front office to the coaching staff, to his fellow players -- nobody wants anything but the best for Bridgewater following the freak knee injury he suffered during last year's preseason.

Any move away from Bridgewater by the Vikings indicates their lack of confidence in his ability to return.
