Cold Spring native and New York Jets wide receiver made a trip back to Cold Spring for his 10-year high school reunion and make a big donation to a local baseball park.

According to MyFoxTwinCities, while in town this past weekend Eric attended his 10 year reunion at Rocori and he also presented a banner for 'Deck 87,' a deck which is set to be built over the first base dugout at the baseball park.

That's a pretty sweet donation for the community of Cold Spring and I love the play on his name and jersey number/graduation year.  I think it's pretty incredible that he's made it far in his career but he's never forgotten where he came from.  That seems to be a bit rare these days.

No word yet on when the deck will be built and ready for use but I will be on the lookout and pass that information along.  Congrats Cold Spring!
