Well, the girl and I are always looking for fun things to do and we thought - it's not too early to get started on some Easter projects, is it? Okay, the truth is we were just looking for an excuse to eat marshmallows, jelly beans and frosting all in one mouthful. We found it in these marshmallow chicks.

Marshmallow chicks are super easy and open to improvisation from you. We just took a bag of large marshmallows, stuck a yellow jelly bean into it for the beak and some toothpicks for the legs. The eyes and wings are painted on with one of those little tubes of frosting you can buy in the baking isle at the grocery store.

We put a little curly-cue of yellow frosting on the top of our chick's head too but it immediately flattened. I guess even chickens have bad hair (feather?) days.
