The Minnesota Wild could not generate much offense Wednesday night in a 2-1 loss to the Ducks at the Honda Center in Anaheim.  The Ducks outshot the Wild 31-24 on their way to their 12th straight home win.

Alex Grant scored his second goal of the season at 2:37 of the second period to give Anaheim a 1-0 lead. Corey Perry added his 21st of the year at 13:27 to make the score 2-0 in favor of the Ducks after two periods.

The Wild managed a power play goal early in the third period, with Jason Pominville notching his team-high 15th goal of the season, assisted by Ryan Suter and Mikko Koivu.

Minnesota heads to San Jose for a quick turnaround game Thursday night. Face off is scheduled for 9:30 (WJON).
