There's something really cool sweeping downtown areas all across the country. It's an open air walk about event that brings food, fun and people together in a street fair environment to highlight the downtown area as well as giving people a great reason to bring the whole family to downtown and enjoy everything there.

It's called the St. Cloud's Downtown Walk About. West St. Germain Street will be closed off from 5th to 10th Avenue and Courthouse Square on June 6th and everyone is invited to head to downtown with your bike, rollerblades or just your own two feet. It is an open air festival featuring food, music, activities for the kids and adults and so much more.

The festivities kick off at 6pm and the streets will be closed until 9pm so the public can get out and enjoy downtown without a motorized vehicle. It's a way for our community to come together and get outside in downtown and enjoy everything it has to offer. From the smaller shops to restaurants and bars, there's something for everyone in Downtown St. Cloud.

This will be the first time St. Cloud has attempted an open streets festival, but Minneapolis and Fargo have been doing them for several years now with great success. The Downtown St. Cloud Walk About helps kick off the weekly Summertime by George concert series that begins on June 13 and runs through August.
