Excitement is building for the kick-off of the London Olympics this Friday but did you know the Olympics have an official mascot? This year in London they have two. Meet Wenlock and Mandeville - London 2012's Olympic and Paralympic mascots.

In place of a face, each have one large, staring eye. According to Olympic organizers, this eye is actually a camera, which allows them to "record everything."

They have legs, but no feet; arms bearing "friendship bands" in the colors of the Olympic rings, but no fingers.

Am I just too old to appreciate the otherworldly, futuristic design of the mascots or am I right when I say they look like a squeak toy after my dog has chewed it's eye off?
