Do You Know What Animal The Head In The Wild’s Logo Belongs To?

Minnesota Wild/NHL

Since the logo was originally unveiled back in 1997, I have had the wrong idea as to which animal the head in the Minnesota Wild logo belonged to. I never thought about it much; just assumed wrong. Do you know what kind of animal it belongs to?

I was sitting, watching game-five against the Avs with my brother-in-law Saturday night (I’m still appalled at the crappy officiating) and the subject came up for no real good reason (maybe it was the scotch). We came to find out we each thought it was a different animal — and we were both wrong.
