The Minnesota Timberwolves (13-47) took one on the chin from the visiting Denver Nuggets (22-39) 100-85 last night at the target Center in Minneapolis. A struggling Nuggets team found a game against Minnesota just what the doctor ordered.

Rookie Andrew Wiggins led the Wolves in scoring with 20 points. Gorgui Dieng had 10 rebounds for Minnesota. Ricky Rubio had 10 assists, and Dieng blocked a pair of shots.

the game was the second for the Nuggets under interim head coach Melvin Hunt, following the firing of Brian Shaw.

Next up for the Timberwolves; Saturday vs. the Portland Trailblazers at the Target Center at 7 PM (Radio: 1240 WJON, TV: Fox Sports North).
