2024 CLEAN SWEEP WEEK IS COMING!

The 2024 Clean Sweep Week is coming to Sauk Rapids from May 8th through May 11th,  hosted by the Sauk Rapids Compost Site.

Clean Sweep Week allows area residents to get rid of their unwanted clutter, without having to have a compost sticker.

Area residents can pile up their unwanted items, and bring them to 3215 Quarry Road NE in Sauk Rapids.

For Clean Sweep Week, the compost site will be open Wednesday through Friday from noon to 7 pm May 8th through May 10th, and Saturday, May 11th from 8:30 to 4:30 pm.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

Although this is a great way to get rid of a lot of your stuff, some items are prohibited including the following:

  • Sod
  • Woodchips
  • Treated lumber
  • Antifreeze
  • Used oil and oil filters
  • Chemicals
  • Pesticides
  • Herbicides
  • Paints and solvents
  • GAS refrigerators
  • Concrete
  • Brake fluids
  • Liquid waste
  • Medical waste

The Clean Sweep Disposal Fee Schedule is as follows:

Trash in an automobile: $10
Pickup or small trailer: (5x8): $30
Large single-axle trailer $30
Items in Tandem axle trailer $40

Items that will be accepted include:

APPLIANCES AND ELECTRONICS

Audio and Video equipment and games, batteries for cars, tractors & households, printers, fax machines, cordless rechargeable equipment & Tools, stereos, telephones, and vacuum cleaners.

HOUSEHOLD ITEMS

Bicycles, carpet, padding, chairs, clothing and shoes, couches, dishes and plastics, lamps, lawnmowers, mattresses & box springs, pots and pans, utensils, tables, toys, glass jars, and bottles and cardboard.

CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS

Fencing, insulation, PVC piping, scrap iron, wire, sheetrock, shingles, siding & windows.

Many items will be accepted but will require additional fees per unit, including air conditioners, dishwashers & washing machines. For a full list of these items, click HERE.
