According to the National Weather Service, we should be getting our fans, kiddie pools, sprinklers, popsicles, and A/C ready for an early season, record breaking shot of heat & humidity across Central Minnesota this weekend.

High temperatures in the mid to upper 90s and dew points in the 70s will push the heat index into the 100s on Saturday and Sunday. The forecast high for Saturday in St. Cloud is 99˚, with a 93˚ on tap for Sunday, and 90˚ predicted for Monday.

From the National Weather Service this morning: Dangerous heat will develop across the central U.S. late this week, reaching the Upper Midwest this weekend. Highs well into the 90s are expected, with some 100s likely across the southern half of Minnesota. These values will approach or exceed daily records. Lows won't offer much relief, only falling back into 70s.

If you need me, I'll be on a floatie at the cabin up north. :)
