Alan Jackson and George Strait joined forces to honor past CMA Awards winners while performing "Remember When" and "Troubadour."

Jackson was first to take the stage, to sing his "Remember When," during the performance wearing a white cowboy hat and a suit jacket that beautifully complemented the detailing on his guitar. Halfway through the performance Jackson yielded to clips of CMA acceptance speeches from the past 50 years. After the clips of memorable moments played, Strait joined Jackson on the stage wearing his own cowboy hat to sing his song "Troubadour." With the two legends on stage, it was clear that audience knew they were experiencing something special as they stood together swaying back and forth while singing along.

Since 1992, Jackson has won an impressive 15 CMA Awards, including three Entertainer of the Year titles. In 2015, Jackson released his 20th studio album, Angels and Alcohol, and this year, the "Chattahoochee" singer will team up with Walmart for a special box set of his Precious Memories gospel albums.

Also known as the "King of Country Music," Strait is one of the most prolific and decorated artists in country music. With 23 CMA Awards to his name, Strait has been nominated and has won more times than any other artist in the history of the CMAs -- and holds the same title for the ACM Awards too. Despite his retirement from touring in 2014, Strait has continued to stay active, performing at the 2016 Americana Music Awards and partnering with Walmart to release an exclusive compilation set, Strait Out of the Box: Part 2 on Nov. 18.
