I had a chance to see Glen Campbell at the Paramount Theatre this past Tuesday.  He put on a marvelous show.  It was a great mix of Country and pop. The best part of the concert is when Glen's oldest daughter and him performed Johnny Cash and June Carter's hit song "Jackson".  Glen's two daughters also performed Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide", which was a great performance.

Before Glen Campbell made it big as a solo artist, Campbell toured with the Beach Boys for 18 months in 1964 and 1965. His first big single was "Gentle on my Mind", in 1967. He got his own TV show. "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour", in January 1969, after filling-in as the summer host for the Smother's Brothers. Campbell has recorded 70 albums and has had 27 top 10 songs in his career.

If you missed Glen's performance at the Paramount, we will review his music on the 98 Country Classic Spotlight at 11:00 am Sunday May 22nd. Country Classics  are played 9 am-1pm Sundays.
