Money. It's a drag. It's also nice to have.

Money may be the root of all evil, but it also buys food.

The Bachelor Life can lead to going out for dinner a lot...unless you're me. I'm a bit of a miser when it comes to going out. For me, "going out to eat" is hitting up the drive-thru at Taco Bell. Fancy, I know!

But even that can add up. Leave it to the money-sniffing geniuses at Forbes to figure out how much we could save by cooking at home.

FYI: what they assume is that when you go out to eat, you're not going to Taco Bell or ordering pizza.

They also compared the cost of meal kits (like Blue Apron).

GET TO IT! WHAT DID THEY FIND?!

The average restaurant meal, delivered, costs approximately $20. That's each meal.

The average meal from a meal kit, delivered, costs about $12.

The average meal made at home costs about $4.

Forbes goes into meal-by-meal detail. Check it out to see how much you could save by making it yourself!
