After a rough start to 2014, Lakefront Music Fest artist Trace Adkins is being honored by his home state.

A stint in rehab and a divorce filing could derail anyone, but not Trace Adkins.

The Lakefront Music Fest headliner is being honored by his home state of Louisiana by being inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

Trace, originally from Sarepta, Louisiana (near the Arkansas border) accepted the honor during his show in Baton Rouge. It was presented by Hall President Mike Shepherd and Trace was also given an official proclamation by Governor Bobby Jindahl.

Trace will be headlining the Lakefront Music Fest in Prior Lake on Saturday, July 19.
