Computer Crash Causes Tax Deadline Extension

TAX DAY 2018? JUST KIDDING

The last two days I've been sending out reminders to you...Tax day is upon us. Get your taxes in or sufffer the consequences of the IRS.  Well....I take it back. If you missed the government deadline...it's no big deal. They're gonna give you an EXTRA extra day.

COMPUTER CRASHES CHANGE EVERYTHING

Apparently even the minds of the folks at the IRS. I've heard reports that say when the IRS website crashed yesterday, the message that people received said the site wouldn't be back up until December of 2099. OOOh...For us? That means never... right?

I've  also heard rumors that the IRS has been begging congress for a new computer system and that this type of crash was inevitable, but; like a lot of other things, congress just keeps blowing them off. Well, now it's happened. Yes congress....when you sit on your hands, the world still spins and crap still happens...but that's okay. Don't forget your My Pillow.

TOO BAD SO SAD

The IRS at first said, to bad so sad....you shouldn't have waited til the last minute. Later in the day, after realizing the impact the crash had on so many people counting on the ability to file online at the last minute, they have now extended the tax deadline to tonight at midnight!  Seriously.  They have. That's it.  I'm not kidding. If it crashes again, I don't think they'll be giving you another extension.  Print it out and mail it.
