Closed Rum Runners Bar Sold to Restaurant Developer

ST. CLOUD -- A local investment group has bought the closed Rum Runners bar in downtown St. Cloud. Steve Letnes and one of his investors have recently closed on the property at 102 Sixth Avenue South.

Letnes says there's some work to do with the property and they plan to take their time developing it.  He says they are considering what concept they want for the business and will work to clean up and renovate the property over the coming year.

Letnes and a business partner are also working to open 7 West Tap House in the old Electric Fetus building downtown. He says that should open in a couple of months.

Rum Runners closed in 2013 and Letnes says the location, historical significance of the building, and ample parking adjacent to a downtown location made it an attractive property.
