Hennepin County has made it easier for people to get jobs by reducing the unnecessary job requirements.

Basically, job applications are getting a fine tooth comb. Barriers are being taken off the actual paper application, like the qualifications that are being layered on the job.

They are also evaluating the qualifications for that job. If the job has a requirement for a bachelors degree - the employer might actually consider someone with a 2-year degree.

This is great, because it opens the playing field for more people to apply for jobs. Just because someone has more experience than another, doesn't mean they will perform at the job better.
