Man Tased and Arrested While in Stearns County Court

A man was tased and arrested in Stearns County court on Monday after allegedly not listening to orders from court deputies. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says 26-year-old Christopher Myrhe was making a court appearance on a 4th degree assault charge.

Local Schools Have No Plans to Ditch Valentine’s Day Card Giving

Last week we told you about students at a St. Paul elementary school who won't be exchanging valentines or candy this year. Locally, St. Cloud area schools still allow students to exchange cards on Valentine's Day. The Stearns County Sheriff's office says it was the body of a 21-year-old St. Cloud woman found on the ice of the Mississippi River. At about 12:45 p.m. yesterday (Sunday) the St. Cloud Police Department notified the Sheriff's Office that a body was found lying on the ice near the Granite City Crossing - or Highway 23 bridge.

Police: Two Bodies Found in Mississippi River in St. Cloud

Two bodies were pulled from the Mississippi River earlier this (Sunday) afternoon near the Granite City Crossing Bridge - also known as the Highway 23 or Division Street bridge. Assistant Police Chief Jeff Oxton says police got a call around 12:30 p.m. about a possible person on the ice.
