Carrie Underwood opened the 2012 ACM Awards tonight (April 1) by performing her brand new single ‘Good Girl’ for the first time live on TV. What a way to start the show and what a way for the singer to debut her latest hit, which will appear on her forthcoming album ‘Blown Away,’ due one month from today. The singer set the tone for the evening with her fierce performance.

Looking super sexy in a black and hot pink mini dress and a pair of killer bootie heels, which she danced in flawlessly while her signature blonde locks tumbled in waves on her shoulders, Underwood owned the stage. She was surrounded by digital silhouettes on the screens behind her, which danced in unison with her.

With this performance, Underwood was hotter than we’ve ever seen her, both professionally and physically. She looked and sounded amazing. You couldn’t take your eyes off her. She captured the feisty nature of the uptempo, empowering song while singing it on the stage. The performance was also bathed in flashing pink lights, as well.

The singer delivered a come hell or high water rendition, belting out the song from her core, singing like she meant every lyric. We particularly liked the extra-long, hand-held black microphone that she gripped throughout the performance, which was studded with hot pink to match her dress.

Put simply, Carrie Underwood rocked!
