The team at Vivid Maps has taken a look at the biggest employers in each state. In most cases it's the state or federal government -- as is the case here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, but if we rule out the government can you guess who's top on Minnesota's list?

Did you guess Mayo Clinic? That was a tough one for sure. Mayo Clinic has over 40,000 employees in Minnesota. Target was #2 and the University of Minnesota was #3.

Crazy that Walmart is #1 in twenty different states. How big is that?! They were #5 in Minnesota, behind Allina Health at #4.
