Brett Eldredge has much more to celebrate this holiday season, as the singer's current single "Wanna Be That Song" recently hit No. 1 on the country charts.

It marks Eldredge's sixth consecutive No. 1 song and follows his previous chart toppers “Lose My Mind” and “Drunk on Your Love” from his album Illinois.

"Wanna be that song" is our 6th NUMBER ONE song in a ROW! I am serious as santa! Good god I love you all!" he posted to Instagram Sunday (Dec. 18) with a video in which he dressed as Santa Claus and popped a bottle of champagne on Music Row in front of his label, Warner Music Nashville.

“Getting to be ‘that song’ for my fans just makes this so much sweeter, better than any number one I’ve ever had,” Eldredge says in a press release. “This is the song I’ve wanted to release for a long time so thank you to my team, my fans, country radio -- and Merry Christmas!”

How Brett Eldredge Will Celebrate His Latest No. 1 Hit

Eldredge says that "Wanna Be That Song" is everything he wanted to say in a love song.

"It's everything that I want to do in my career as an artist. There's a line in it that says, 'every life has a soundtrack.' It's true. Everybody has that song they turn on and it reminds them when they were 16 and first got their car," he tells us. "I want to be that song that takes you back to a place and I want to be that song that makes you fall in love. Personally, I want to be that song to somebody. I want to be that feeling you get when you hear that song every day and that's why I wrote that song and that's why I love it."

The singer celebrates each new No. 1 hit with a special adventure, including swimming with sharks, ghost hunting and sky diving. He plans to celebrate his most recent chart-topper with an underwater cave concert. He also released a Sinatra-inspired Christmas album, Glow, in October, and is planning new music for 2017.
