MEEKER COUNTY -- The Meeker County Sheriff's Office says they've found the body of a missing girl.

Authorities say the body of five-year-old Alayna Ertl has been found in Cass County. The suspect, 26-year-old Zachary Anderson has also been arrested and his vehicle was found in Cass County.

The Amber Alert for Ertl has been canceled. Calls to the Sheriff's Office confirm Ertl is dead and that the case has shifted to a homicide investigation.

When the alert was first issued, the Sheriff's Office said Ertl was last seen Saturday at 2:00 a.m. in Watkins.

Anderson was believed to be staying overnight at Ertl's home. Ertl's mother discovered them gone at 8:00 a.m.

The Sheriff's Office encourages the public to call them if they still have information on the case at 320-693-5400. Detectives would like to talk with anyone who saw Ertl, Anderson or his vehicle.

Anderson was said to be driving a 2002 GMC Sierra pickup with the license plate 107 KMT. The vehicle was reported to be stolen. Information received said Anderson may have been in Todd County at 6:30 a.m.
