Billy Currington is no stranger to touring seeing that he has been the opening act for many big country stars. But earlier this week the 'Like My Dog' singer announced that after nine years of being on the road with other country music acts, he will be headlining his own tour in 2012.

Billy has been on the road with big country music stars such as Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, and Brad Paisley (to name a few) which I'm sure has given him plenty of experience to pull off an amazing headline tour.

I'm really excited about this one, Billy has been around for a quite awhile so he has a large catalog of music to work with when it comes time to put together a set list. I think headline tours are always better if the star has been in the business long enough to have more than one album of music to work with. You can be sure you will know a lot of the songs he will perform on tour considering he has had four studio albums with nine singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including six number one hits. Like I said, he has plenty of music to work with.

Currington announced that he will kick of his tour early next year and David Nail and Kip Moore will be joining him on the road. Dates and locations have yet to be determined.
