A big snowstorm is expected to track across Minnesota this Friday and Saturday. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for southern Minnesota (including the Twin Cities) where up to a foot of snow could fall. 3 to 6 inches is more likely in the St. Cloud area -- with bitter cold to follow.

From the National Weather Service this morning: A snowstorm is expected later this week across the Upper Midwest. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the southern half of Minnesota and western Wisconsin due to the potential for 6 inches or more Friday into Saturday morning. A frigid air mass will follow the snow this weekend.
