Temperatures are about to get frigid again with subzero wind chills and the National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning that begins at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) and goes through 3 a.m. Thursday.

The areas in red on the above map are included in the Blizzard Warning.  The dark blue indicates areas in a Winter Weather Advisory.

As a result there may be reduced visibility (a quarter mile or less) due to blowing snow and the blowing snow may cause drifts in more open areas.  This could make travel extremely difficult in some areas.  Winds will be out of the northwest  between 25 and 35 miles per hour, with some gusts expected to be as high as 50 miles per hour.

There is also a Winter Weather Advisory for Benton and Sherburne Counties, in addition other areas to the east.  That goes from 11 a.m today (Wednesday) to 3 a.m. Thursday as well.
