From the National Weather Service this morning: The first snow of the season is expected to move in late tonight and last through Friday. There are a few complicating factors for accumulating snow, including near or above freezing temperatures, warm ground temperatures, and rain mixing with the snow at times which will limit accumulation. However, accumulations are still expected mainly west of Interstate 35 tonight and Friday morning. Westerly winds will be very strong as well, especially across western into south central Minnesota.
