Lynx Advance to WNBA Finals
The Minnesota Lynx downed the Phoenix Mercury Sunday 72-71 to advance to the WNBA Finals. Minnesota wins the Western Conference Finals 2 games to none. Maya Moore led the Lynx with 40 points and 8 rebounds and Sylvia Fowles had 8 points and 14 rebounds.
Tech Dominates Rivalry Game Against Apollo [VIDEO]
The game was 7-26 at Halftime. The Apollo Eagles opened the third quarter with a 47 yard touchdown run by Clayton Hoeper to make the score 14-26.
Tech/Apollo Football Tickets On-Sale
Both Tech and Apollo are making tickets available for Friday's Apollo vs. Tech football game at SCSU's Husky Stadium. Tickets are Tech can be purchased Tuesday and Wednesday at the Activities office from 7:30am - 3:45pm.

Vikings to Play Without Sullivan; Wright Gets Extension
The Vikings will play about half the season without center John Sullivan. Sullivan underwent a lumbar microdiscectomy Wednesday. He can return to practice after 6 weeks and can return to the field week 8.
#2 TCU Wins Tight Game Against the Gophers
The Gophers lost 23-17 to #2 TCU Thursday night. Minnesota trailed 10-0 after 1 quarter and 10-3 at halftime. Mitch Leidner threw for 197 yards and 1 touchdown with no interception,
SCSU Football Wins Season Opener 28-10
The St. Cloud State Football team began the 2015 season with a 28-10 win over Concordia-St. Paul at Husky Stadium Thursday night. SCSU led 14-0 after the first quarter and 21-3 at halftime.
Vikings Lose 24-17 to Titans
The Vikings lost their final 2015 preseason game 24-17 Thursday night. The Vikings played only a few 1st team players. Taylor Heinicke played the entire game at quarterback for the Vikings and was 27-41 for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns with no interceptions.
5 St. Cloud Area Teams Play in Class B/C State Amateur Baseball Tournament
The St. Cloud area will be well represented in the State Amateur Baseball Tournament this week. In Class C, the Sartell Muskies will play Sunday at 11am in Cold Spring, Kimball will play Ada at 11am Sunday in Watkins, Watkins will play at 11am Saturday Saturday in Watkins.
Twins Place Hughes on DL; To Recall Duffey
The Twins have placed starting pitcher Phil Hughes on the 15-day disabled list with a back injury and the team has recalled righthanded pitcher Tyler Duffey from Triple-A Rochester.
Twins Should Call Up Berrios
The Twins need a starting pitcher for the weekend series against Cleveland at Target Field. The top pitching prospect in the organization is Jose Berrios and he's been hot at Triple-A Rochester.
SCSU Pitcher Signs With the Dodgers
St. Cloud State junior pitcher Garrett Harrison has signed a free agent professional contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Harrison was pitching in the Northwoods League with the Green Bay Bullfrogs.
