Rox Won Seventh Game In A Row Tuesday
The St. Cloud Rox won their seventh straight game Tuesday with a 5-4 win over the Waterloo Bucks at Joe Faber Field. The Rox are now 14-6 on the season.

The St. Cloud Rox begin the 2016 season tonight in Waterloo at 7:05pm, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 6:35. Rox Field Manager Augie Rodriguez returns in the same role for a 5th season.
SCSU Baseball Downs Western Missouri in NCAAs
The St. Cloud State baseball team defeated Western Missouri 10-4 today in the NCAA Division II Central Regional at Joe Faber Field. Reese Gregory was 2-4 with a homerun and 3 RBIs, and both Zach Hoffman and Zak Hoffman homered.
St. John’s Baseball Wins NCAA Tournament Game
The St. John's Baseball team defeated St. Scholastica 7-2 in their first game at the NCAA Division III regional at LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Logan Hershey and Jack Wingred each homered and drove in 2 runs for the Johnnies.
Vikings to Sign 2-Time Pro Bowler Guard Alex Boone
The Vikings in advance of free agency have agreed to terms with 28-year old left guard Alex Boone. Boone played all 6 of his seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. He started 13 games last season with the 49ers before he sustained a knee injury.
Cathedral Hockey Wins Consolation Title
The Cathedral boys hockey team closed their season at Mariucci Arena today with a 3-2 win over Mankato West to capture the Class A consolation championship. Michael Spethmann scored the game-winning goal at the 15:44 mark to break the 2-all tie. Logan Neu got the assist.

The Minnesota WIld lost 4-3 at home against Washington last night. Alex Ovechkin scored 3 goals in the 2nd period for Washington. Minnesota got goals from Charlie Coyle, Ryan Suter and Mikhael Granlund. Suter's goal was on a power play in the 3rd period.

The Minnesota Wild lost 6-3 at home against the Dallas Stars Monday night. Minnesota led 2-0 after the first period only to see Dallas scored 3 2nd period goals and 3 more in the 3rd.

The 5-7 Gopher football team has accepted a bid to play in the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit at Ford Field Monday December 28 at 4pm (Central Time) against Central Michigan. Central Michigan is 7-5.
Broncos Sign Former Viking Christian Ponder
The Denver Broncos signed former Viking quarterback Christian Ponder to backup Brock Osweiler and Trevor Siemien with Peyton Manning nursing a foot injury. Ponder signed with the Oakland Raiders in the off-season but didn't make the cut with the Raiders out of training camp.
