Searchers have found the body of a missing St. Cloud native who was killed in an avalanche in the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California. Inyo County Sheriff William Lutze says crews used sonar technology to find Michael David Meyers on Saturday in the John Muir Wilderness east of Fresno.

The St. Cloud area school district is halting demolition of Clark Field while they mull all other options for a future site to place early childhood education programs. The district originally had a plan to put in a $25 million building on the field for early childhood education, community education, adult basic education, the district welcome center, media services and the administrative offices.
