Area Fish Houses Need To Be Removed By Midnight Tonight

Ice fishing houses must be removed from area lakes by midnight tonight (3/1), or face the possibility of being confiscated or destroyed -- with owners facing prosecution. Lakes in the northern third of the state don't have removal deadlines until March 16th.

In addition to removal of the shelter, the DNR asks fishermen to please clean up around the shelter and check with local refuse providers or landfills for ice shelter disposal information.
