The Twins beat the Indians 3-0 Monday night at Target Field to improve to 53-63 on the season. Cleveland has now lost six of their last seven games.

Andrew Albers was excellent once again in his second MLB start, going the distance to improve to 2-0 on the season.  The lefty allowed only two hits and did not walk a batter while striking out two. Albers needed only 102 pitches to complete the game.

Once again the Twins relied on the long ball for their offensive output, with Brian Dozier going deep in the first inning and Trevor Plouffe adding a two-run shot in the second.

The Twins and Indians will meet again Tuesday night at Target Field.
