Alan Jackson's admiration for his father is well-known, and it's been the inspiration for some previous hits. Another could come from his new Angels and Alcohol album. The singer says the first track came from good advice his dad gave him.

"You Can Always Come Home" makes him think of his oldest daughter, as well. Mattie went off to college a few years ago, bringing back feelings of when Jackson moved to Nashville many years ago. Back then, the star says his father — a soft-spoken man — didn't discourage him.

"He said, 'You can always come home. If it doesn't work out, you can always come back home.' And it's true." Watch the video above for more.

Jackson delivers the song with his typical subdued tone. The lead track from his new album (in stores now) teases the nine other traditional country tracks to come. Angels and Alcohol is Jackson's first album of new material in three years.
