We constantly hear stories of parents punishing their children publicly.  Some methods are definitely questionable but I don't think there's any question this mom made the right call.

I don't think I know of anyone who has gone to a movie and not encountered someone who was rude.  They might be talking or on their cell phone and they think it's all about them.  As though they're the only ones who paid to get in.

According to IJ Review article, an Alabama mom, Kyesha, dropped her two daughters and her son at the local movie theater on Friday night so they could go see Cinderella.  She picked her children up after the movie and learned from her son that the two girls had been very rude and disrespectful.

They were confronted during and after the movie by a woman, Rebecca, who brought her daughter to see the film.  It turns out her husband had been laid off and this was the last movie they'd be able to go to for awhile.  The two girls had essentially ruined their night.

When Kyesha found out, she knew her daughters needed to make this right.  She took to Facebook in search of the woman -- her post went viral and she was able to connect with Rebecca.  The two chatted and have become friends.  As for Kyesha's daughters, their punishment is to write a letter of apology and they're treating Rebecca and her daughter to a movie night out of their allowance.

I think this is a good punishment for the girls who were disrespectful and it's great parenting on Kyesha's part.  Hopefully, everything works out for both families.

What are your thought's on the punishment?
