Let's time travel back to 1998. Disney was releasing Mulan, and McDonald's wanted to create a new dipping sauce to go along with it. Szechuan dipping sauce was considered "addictive", tasting like a mix of garlic, chili peppers and Szechuan peppers. After it was discontinued it was all but forgotten until the popular TV show Rick and Morty breathed new life into it.
